Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to support design and development initiatives for mechanical systems and components. The role requires expertise in SolidWorks, strong knowledge of mechanical principles, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Develop 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and similar software.
- Translate concepts, sketches, and specifications into manufacturable designs.
- Collaborate with engineers to refine designs and ensure compliance with requirements, standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, material selection, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) evaluations.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation of components.
- Revise and update existing drawings and documentation as needed.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and quality of designs.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and version control of design files.
- Support product safety certifications with NRTL partners (UL, CSA, IEC).
