Coding and Billing Specialist

QualDerm Partners is seeking a Coding and Billing Specialist to work with a professional team of physicians to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure a positive patient experience. The role involves assessing medical records, coding/billing practices, and ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines. Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice (CPC-A), Certified Dermatology Coder (CDC), or other applicable coding certification.
• 0-3 years of experience in medical coding/reimbursement; experience with dermatology coding/billing is a plus.
• Mod Med/EMA practice management system experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines; medical terminology; anatomy and physiology; state and federal Medicare reimbursement guidelines.
• Ability to research and analyze data, draw conclusions, and resolve issues.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information.
