Job Description
Pylon is a small team building an API-first, programmatic infrastructure for the mortgage industry. They are seeking a Staff Engineer in AI to join their team and automate underwriting through LLMs, rule-based systems, and vendor integrations. The role involves hands-on work, tackling complex problems and building production systems with a focus on high-quality code and a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Strong systems engineering foundation
- Experience building large-scale production systems
- Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and data consistency
- Technical judgment and architectural decision-making
- Recent experience with LLMs or ML in production
- Comfort with regulated domains
