Christian School - Middle School Humanities Teacher

We have two full-time Humanities positions open in middle school; one for 6th grade and one for 8th grade. The ideal candidates will delight in being part of a team that is passionate, creative, and supportive of one another; who have a love for the whole child and Christian discipleship, scholarly expertise in the humanities, teaching experience in a classical environment, and will participate in ongoing professional training and experiences.

Requirements

• Teaches a full-time load of middle school students in the humanities
• Teaches rhetorical skills, helping students to form and defend positions through their writing, speaking, presentations, and class discussions
• Attends and contributes to parent-teacher meetings necessary to the school's functions
• Helps plan and implement grade-level activities and learning expeditions
• Participates in all middle school activities and meetings, including after-school and evening activities
