Job Description
We are seeking an ADHD Specialist Independent Prescriber to join our team at Psychiatry UK. As an independent prescriber, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within our ADHD service. You will be responsible for the treatment and ongoing management of adults with ADHD, including the independent or supplementary prescribing of ADHD medications in line with national guidelines and Psychiatry UK’s clinical policies.
Requirements
- Sound clinical experience in the initiation, titration, and management of ADHD in adults
- Strong patient-centred approach, showing empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with ADHD rating scales, validated screening, and monitoring tools
- Sound understanding of legislation, professional standards, and current developments in ADHD service provision and prescribing practice
- Ability to work autonomously, managing an independent caseload efficiently and responsibly
