PruittHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Competency Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a culture of excellence and learning among staff, through role modeling, quality education, competency assessment and team building activities. Key responsibilities include coordinating clinical competency assessment and training needs of clinical staff, providing relevant and creative education, participating in the interview and selection process, and conducting competency assessments to determine partner learning needs.
Requirements
- Coordinates clinical competency assessment and training needs of clinical staff
- Provides relevant and creative education for clinical staff
- Participates in the interview and selection process of clinical staff
- Conducts competency assessments to determine partner learning needs
- Identifies and trains clinical staff who will serve as preceptors for new partners
- Communicates regularly with unit managers regarding new partner orientation and competency status
- Reviews outcomes of case mix and clinical meetings to identify clinical learning needs for partners
- Participates in performance improvement activities
- Serves as Pruitt University system administrator for facility
- Maintains documentation of all partner education
- Develops and directs facility orientation program and training for new employees
- Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff
- Monitors practice for effective implementation
- Establishes and implements infection control program
- Conducts infection control surveillance activities
- Provides consultation to all departments on application of infection control principles and procedures
- Conducts staff training and monitors performance
- Implements workplace safety programs
- Maintains material safety data sheets and exposure control plan for blood borne pathogens
- Coordinates Hepatitis B Vaccination Program and post exposure evaluation and follow up requirement
- Maintains confidentiality of employee medical records
