Registered Nurse, Operating Room

Mount St. Joseph Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate perioperative registered nurses to join our casual pool in the Ophthalmology Procedure Rooms. Our facility features three specialized procedure rooms, handling approximately 50 cases daily. Patients receive light sedation and are discharged the same day.

Requirements

• Registered nurse in Canada in good standing and eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Completion of a post graduate operating room course, or two years’ recent experience in an equivalent setting
• Demonstrated competence in performing CPR procedures
• Experience in teamwork, decision-making and conflict resolution
• Demonstrated a teaching aptitude
• Proficient in clinical leadership
• Strong desire to expand professional skills and commitment to lifelong learning in the nursing field
