Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse in the Hemodialysis Unit provides practical nursing care to patients, collaborating with RNs and the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective renal interventions. This role supports patients and families with dialysis procedures, advocating for their needs and adhering to professional standards. The position supports a professional team within the integrated nephrology team.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
- Successful completion of a recognized Dialysis Program
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Current basic cardiac life support certification
- Experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in acute care
- Understanding of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Hemodialysis techniques
