Job Description
The Electrical Technician role involves installing electrical assemblies, wiring control panels and instruments, ensuring system functionality and meeting customer specifications. They work with limited supervision and are responsible for maintaining a safe and organized work area. This is a critical role for the company ensuring proper system operation.
Requirements
- Install code compliant raceways, pull and terminate cables, and test control panels and instruments
- Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, plus Manufacturing departments
- Ensure electrical installations comply with Class 1 Division 1 & 2 locations and Intrinsically Safe electrical requirements
- Review electrical drawings and bill of materials
- Cut openings, mount parts, drill/tap holes
- Install all necessary cables and wires
- Test and troubleshoot systems
- Record data and write reports
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Understanding of PLC controls
- Advanced understanding of process flow schematics
- Hands-on experience with fabrication and service of large process equipment
- Advanced understanding of P&ID's
