Engineer II

Manufacturing Engineer’s are responsible to provide operations technical support in the relentless pursuit of world class manufacturing performance with respect to People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC). Progress Rail is a leading provider of railroad products, services, and technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of related engineering work in a manufacturing company
• Product design experience
• Thorough knowledge in one or more areas of: Electrical assembly/wiring/circuitry, and mechanical assembly processes
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with colleagues, production team members, suppliers, external contractors, other company locations
• Experience working with others on a manufacturing shop floor
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Ability to Read blueprints and electrical schematics
