Job Description
Progress Rail Services Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for their Independence, MO facility. The successful candidate will report directly to the manager and collaborate with other departments on ongoing production and R&D projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of total mechanical design experience
- 2+ years of railroad industry experience
- Experience with reading and understanding technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of geometry, system relations, and GD&T
- Experience with ERP software for manufacturing
- Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel
- Experience with Solidworks CAD software
