Equipment Mechanic II

GSE Equipment Mechanic II is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repairs on airline and aircraft ground service equipment, including tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, and trucks. The position requires diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, as well as maintaining and repairing critical systems. The role also involves serving equipment with fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, water, and compressed air, and removing, testing, repairing, or replacing components.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Eligible to work in the United States
• 3 years of verified experience required
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
