Job Description
PRIME is seeking an Estimator, Underground to independently analyze blueprints and documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects. This role involves producing excavation & backfill estimates, understanding various plans and specifications, utilizing technology tools, providing support to junior estimators, and contributing to value engineering exercises. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, industrial, high-tech, vertical high-rise, and health care industries and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university
- Three to five years related experience and/or training
- Experience in commercial, industrial, high-tech, vertical high-rise, and health care industries
- Experience with preparing, reviewing, and presenting complex estimates
- Experience with underground infrastructure construction methods
- Ability to train and educate others on estimating procedures and software
- Knowledge of structural, architectural, and mechanical documents
- Knowledge of local city and county specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, Excel, Accubid, Smartsheet, and LiveCount
- Strong organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Experience with delivery models: Plan & Spec, Design-Assist, and Design-Build
