Design new products and improve existing products in accordance with Pride's procedures and protocols, mentor less experienced engineers, and drive continuous improvement within Research & Development (R&D) while mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements
- Design and analyze control systems and electronic assemblies
- Develop Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and support firmware designs
- Develop, release, and revise electrical drawings and schematics
- Ensure designs are safe, effective, manufacturable, reliable, and Superior Product at Reduced Cost (SPARC) initiatives are met
- Perform inspections, verification, and validation testing
- Meet and fulfill project timelines and budgets
- Travel to domestic and international contract manufacturers as needed for product launches
- Lead by example and assist in the training and development of Junior Electrical Engineers and Technicians
- Serve as technical project lead with outside design partners and suppliers
- Coach and teach advanced skills and techniques
- Assist in continuous improvement of design procedure and protocol to help drive design efficiency
- Assist management in championing change within Pride
- Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
- Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training
- Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
- Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
