Job Description
The Histotechnician will be responsible for accurate tissue section processing, ensuring consistent quality and efficient work practices. This role involves everything from sample preparation and staining to QC and maintaining a safe working environment. It also involves professional development and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Histologist/Histotechnologist certification (ASCP or HT certification eligible)
- Visual acuity and above average dexterity
- Moderate walking, standing, or sitting ability
- Ability to lift 20 lbs., bend, stoop, normal or corrected vision and hearing
- Compliance with OSHA, CAP, safety, and HIPAA regulations
