Job Description
Powell is an engineered to order manufacturer of switchgear and electrical equipment for the power generation industry. The Senior Wireperson role involves assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and components, working with a variety of wiring, cables, and connectors. The position requires adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Understand engineering change orders and apply them to the job.
- Perform RCA on engineering changes and correct discrepancies.
- Install transformer cables and CTs
- Lead a small team to complete a specific task.
- Create nameplates
- Assist training employees
- Complete complex engineering changes
- Install Mimic Bus
- Make Coaxial cable
- Perform in process inspections
- Create diagrams
- Identify and track shortages
- Assist in processing ship loose
- Install communication cables
- Install CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables
- Install fiber optic and BriteSpot
- Terminate and run wire for MCC, SWGR, and harnesses
- Identify part discrepancies
- Promote a safety culture
- Ensure work areas remain clean
