Job Description
A Cloud Operations Engineer position at Point72, supporting cloud engineers, troubleshooting issues, and implementing cost optimization strategies. The role involves collaboration with security teams and requires knowledge of AWS services, Terraform, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in a large enterprise
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty) are a strong plus
- Knowledge of common AWS services used by developers (EC2, EBS, S3, RDS etc.)
- Knowledge of AWS security services, especially IAM and KMS
- Experience with Terraform, preferably Terraform Enterprise
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Demonstrated ability to automate manual processes and build self-service capabilities with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with engineers across teams and locations
- Experience with GCP or Azure is a plus
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
- Location: New York, minimum 3 days onsite
