As a Mechanical Prototype Engineer, develop and fabricate prototypes of plastic components using 3D printing and manual techniques to validate modifications before implementing them in the final mold.

Requirements

• Support the development of prototype parts based on CAD proposals
• Use CAD software to model and adjust geometries according to design specifications
• Operate and maintain 3D printers, including file preparation, calibration, and post-processing
• Perform manual finishing of prototypes (sanding, assembly, gluing, painting, or fine adjustments)
• Collaborate with product engineers and designers to transform concepts into functional prototypes
• Document the prototype manufacturing process and maintain version control and records of modifications
• Preparation of CAD data and documentation for ordering parts from external suppliers
