Satellite Tasking Engineer, Collection Planning

Planet is a global company that designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history. The company is looking for a Satellite Tasking Engineer to join their operations team in Berlin, Germany.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, or geo science
• Software development experience in Python or equivalent
• Data-driven mindset and comfortable with data analysis
• Sound SQL skills, familiar with git / version control
• Understanding of satellite imagery and remote sensing
• Self-starter that proactively tackles problems and brings in their own ideas
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Team player with an ability to learn and collaborate across teams
