Product Manager, Collection and Capacity

Planet is seeking a Product Manager for its Collection and Capacity team. The successful candidate will own the orchestration for satellite collection and determine capacity for tasking missions and coverage for monitoring missions. The role is ideal for a strong product leader who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment and enjoys enabling high-impact teams to deliver foundational capabilities across the organization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience in capacity forecast demand, and the ability to handle dynamic capacity utilization
• Experience evaluating algorithms and models that automate complex scheduling decisions
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a rapidly evolving environment
• Track record of effectively collaborating with Missions and Operations teams to deliver results
