Public Awareness Intern

Plains is offering an internship opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in community outreach and environmental awareness within the oil and gas industry. The Public Awareness Intern will support the Public Awareness Specialist and Field Specialists to ensure compliance with Public Awareness methods and practices. This internship offers a unique opportunity to build professional networks, work alongside skilled professionals, and take on higher-level projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree at an accredited university
• Experience in Canva is a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team player
• Knowledge and expertise in supporting and developing technology-based tools and training techniques
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Effective project management and proactive decision-making skills
• Ability to travel 10% of time
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry moderately heavy equipment or parts (10 – 15 lbs.)
• Works outdoors in open environment with extremes of heat and cold 5% of time
