Mechanical Technician III

Plains All American is looking for a highly-motivated Mechanical Technician III to perform mechanical maintenance on pumps, valves, engines, and other equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 5-10 years of experience in gas plant, refinery, pipeline, or oilfield experience, and the ability to work in a team-based environment. The position involves frequent work in open environments with extremes of heat and cold, and requires safety accommodations such as protective clothing and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5-10 years of gas plant, refinery, pipeline, or oilfield experience
• Ticketed Journey Person
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to read and interpret facility drawings, technical schematics, and operational and service manuals
• Ability to troubleshoot and make mechanical repairs to company equipment
• Proficient in electrical and mechanical system related to industrial process equipment
• Good computer skills, experience using Microsoft Office suite with strong emphasis on Excel
• O.Q. qualified to perform all Level I tasks
• Outstanding safety record
• Ability to work in moderate to heavy physically demanding working conditions
