Senior Data Scientist Machine Learning - Finance Management

Plaid is seeking a Data Scientist to join their EWA team, focusing on assessing repayment risk in EWA. The role involves analyzing performance, identifying new risk signals, designing strategies, and building data pipelines to improve predictive accuracy and enhance risk modeling. They aim to revolutionize repayment risk by leveraging Plaid’s unique data and capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in applied analytics, decision science, or risk modeling
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret large-scale financial datasets
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization/analysis tool
• Experience in model performance evaluation, monitoring, and feature development
• Track record of owning projects end-to-end
• Familiarity with financial services, fintech, or EWA/payroll products (a plus)
