The Billing Manager leads and manages billing operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. This role involves supervising a team, collaborating with other departments, and monitoring billing activity. The position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a process-driven approach to maintain high-quality service and internal/external audits.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing billing teams, preferably in power or construction-related industries.
- Proven experience overseeing billing groups and working with unit-based billing types, including renegotiated pricing standards.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and checks and balances within billing processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software (Microsoft Great Plains/Solomon preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers and scanners.
