Engineer 5

This is the fifth level of engineering for a position focused on solving complex problems and providing leadership in a specific area of expertise. Incumbents should have advanced skills and be considered industry experts. The role involves coaching, mentoring, technical leadership, technical work, planning, and report writing.

Requirements

• Coaches and mentors other Engineering professionals
• Reviews work of subordinate Engineers
• Provides technical leadership and direction on a corporate or industry level
• Engineering/technical expertise in problem analysis and resolution
• Planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring work activities
• Thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
