Salinas Ag Field Rep

The Pictsweet Company is seeking an Agriculture Field Representative to negotiate contracts with growers, coordinate field activities, and advise growers. This role will involve seasonal travel to different locations and will report to the plant leadership team in Santa Maria, CA. The primary crops are Spinach, Onions, Fordhooks, and Brussel Sprouts.

Requirements

• Negotiating contracts with growers
• Coordinating field activities
• Advising growers
• Determining production possibilities of land
• Supplying seed to growers
• Arranging for transportation of crops
• Coordinating relationship between contract growers and plant production department
• Inspecting growing crops for disease and insect damage
• Monitoring compliance with regulations
• Conducting food safety audits
