Medical Assistant Extern, Adult Health

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Medical Assistant Extern to join our team for a short-term placement of 4 to 10 weeks. As a Medical Assistant Extern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting, assisting healthcare professionals and contributing to the overall patient care process.

Requirements

• Observe and assist the Medical Assistant in performing clinical duties, such as taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for exams.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control procedures and regulations.
• Observe and assist the Medical Assistant in performing administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and maintaining patient records.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
• Learn and follow clinic policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Assist with patient education by providing information on medications, procedures, and post-care instructions.
• Participate in relevant training and educational sessions offered during the externship period.
• Take initiative to learn from medical professionals and actively seek opportunities for skill development.
• Attend and participate in educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
