Chief Engineer

The Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe and profitable operation of the hotel engineering department, supervising and training engineering staff, adhering to the annual budget, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Have knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train all engineering staff in SOP’s and Loss Prevention standards.
• Adhere to the annual budget for the department.
• Ensure that all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per standards.
• Actively participate in energy conservation programs.
• Ensure compliance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA).
• Administer all vendor contracts controlled by the Engineering department.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
