Job Description
Peabody Gateway North Mine is seeking a Mechanic - Underground to join their Maintenance team. This is an hourly position working Monday-Friday, rotating shifts on a 3-shift schedule, with a focus on maintaining mining equipment and safe operations. The company prioritizes safety and employee well-being.
Requirements
- One (1) year underground mining experience
- Knowledge of State and Federal mining regulations
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Operating and troubleshooting skills on section and outby equipment (Continuous miners, battery haulage, feeders, scoops, roof bolters, etc.)
- Troubleshooting knowledge from blueprints and service manuals
- Underground mining license or papers (depending on state/federal rules)
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade certificate preferred
