Job Description
The Drain Improvement Construction Inspector performs field inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and standards. They are responsible for identifying construction issues, monitoring progress, and reporting findings. This role focuses on maintaining quality and safety standards for drainage projects.
Requirements
- Formal Education
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Certifications in State of Michigan EGLE Storm Water Operator (CSWO) and Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control (SESC) Plan Review and Design
- Certifications in American Concrete Institute (ACI), ICC or MCA are preferred
- Knowledge of construction plans and specifications
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform mathematical computations
- Ability to interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding
- Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables
