Job Description
PayJoy is a mission-first credit provider dedicated to financial stability for under-served customers in emerging markets. This Legal Corporate Counsel role will provide legal advice, ensuring the company's legality and protecting its interests across various legal matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and managing complex legal projects, potentially leading teams and facilitating international expansion.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws degree and Master’s degree in a related field.
- Admitted Legal Practitioner (AOB) with solid corporate experience.
- Prior experience building/mentoring a legal team.
- Strong financial services industry experience.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a matrixed environment.
- Proven ability to solve complex legal issues.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-growing startup/tech environment
