Project Manager - Transmission

Pattern Energy is a leading renewable energy company that develops, constructs, owns, and operates high-quality wind and solar generation, transmission, and energy storage facilities. The Project Manager - Transmission will provide technical support of development activities and project management overview of the construction of transmission facilities for wind and solar farms across the United States, with support to other markets as necessary.

Requirements

• Six or more years progressive responsible experience in the power industry with significant EPC experience managing construction of high voltage transmission line and substation projects.
• Bachelor of Engineering or Science degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering or construction management is desired.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple issues on multiple projects under demanding schedule constraints.
• Through understanding of construction contract concepts, language and terms.
• Knowledge of basic engineering concepts. Familiarity with transmission and distribution equipment, transformers and substation equipment, overhead and underground cable installation, reactive power compensation equipment, and SCADA systems.
