Mate / Experienced Deckhand

Parker Towing Company is hiring Mates/Experienced Deckhands for a full-time position. Candidates must have recent experience as a Mate/Experienced Deckhand. The job involves managing day-to-day activities of the deck crew, training new deckhands, and performing various tasks such as line handling and minor towboat and barge maintenance.

Requirements

• Recent experience as a Mate/Experienced Deckhand
• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid/current driver's license
• Ability to pass United States Coast Guard physical requirements
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work required schedule and various weekends and holidays
• Ability to pass United States Coast Guard drug screen
• Ability to understand and complete verbal and written orders
• TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
