As a Content Engineer for Newsletters, you'll own the newsletter as a product, shaping its editorial direction, voice, visual identity and performance. You'll act as both an editor and a product manager, developing a distinct editorial voice, commissioning and curating standout content, testing formats and cadence and using analytics to refine tone, layout and conversion strategies.
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in content creation, editing or journalism for technical or B2B audiences.
- Strong editorial judgment with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging, audience-relevant narratives.
- Proven experience managing and growing newsletters end-to-end from editorial planning and production to subscriber growth and retention.
- Experience managing sponsorships, brand partnerships or ad placements within editorial or newsletter products.
- Excellent writing, editing and coaching skills; able to manage multiple contributors and internal stakeholders.
- Able to use analytics and performance data to track and iterate on engagement, conversion and revenue metrics.
- Familiarity with email marketing, analytics and content tools and AI-assisted production workflows.
- Understanding of newsletter monetization models (ads, sponsorships, community upsell, partnerships, etc.).
