Child Youth Worker

Child Youth Worker will interact with children and youth with behavioral problems and compulsive behaviors, respecting their spirit, dignity, and individuality. The role involves assisting individuals with intellectual impairment, implementing behavioral intervention strategies, and promoting holistic well-being.

Requirements

• Grade 12 education
• Post-secondary Certificate/Diploma in community social services/youth services/health care field
• Previous work experience in community social services/youth services/health care field
• Experience working with challenging individuals or willingness to learn/trained to work with persons with high behaviors
• Strict Dietary Management Skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work shift work
• Experience in professional planning and implementation
• Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, professionals, and families
