The Claims Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the claims team, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring adherence to department procedures and regulations. The role involves supervising workflow, making adjustments to increase productivity, and upholding customer commitments.
Requirements
- Supervises the workflow process to ensure established procedures and requirements are fully met.
- Make necessary adjustments to department procedures, if needed, to increase productivity and efficiency while upholding customer commitments.
- Reviews individual team members' performance, recommending corrective measures as needed.
- Accomplish department human resource objectives by assisting the department manager with the following:
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels by interviewing, selecting, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Assure that the duties, responsibilities, and authority of each job within the department are clearly defined, effective, and communicated to employees.
- Hold employees accountable to department and company policies and procedures; Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as needed.
- Praise and reward employees when appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate timecard records for all assigned employees.
- Maintain a current level of knowledge on all federal, state, local regulations/requirements related to Reimbursement Accounts to ensure accurate claim processing.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving participant inquiries and issues as needed.
- Evaluates and responds to team questions.
- Coordinates and/or delivers training of new team members or ongoing training.
- Assist with claims processing as needed
