Teaching faculty at Owens Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, development cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field.

- Classroom and lab instruction in automotive technology
- Knowledge of engine repair, automatic transmissions/transaxle, manual drive train & axles, suspension & steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating & air conditioning, engine performance
- Ability to teach to different learning styles
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Computer operations skills
- Ability to manage a classroom and organize material
- Ability to recognize students' strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback
