Senior Applied Scientist - Gen AI

Oracle Healthcare Data Intelligence (HDI) is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to develop and optimize AI models for healthcare and life sciences applications. This role involves fine-tuning LLMs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the design and deployment of AI tools to enhance care delivery and improve healthcare systems. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging AI to solve complex healthcare challenges.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, NLP, Machine Learning, or a related field, or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in applied AI/ML.
• Experience training or fine-tuning LLMs or small language models.
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LangChain, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML in healthcare and/or bioinformatics is a plus.
