Principal Applied Scientist

The computer vision team at Oracle is seeking a skilled Scientist to drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge computer vision technologies. This role involves research, development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality computer vision models and services. The team focuses on enabling customers to apply computer vision to solve business problems.

Requirements

• PhD Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a dissertation, thesis or final project centered in Computer Vision and Machine Learning
• 3+ years relevant experience is preferred but not a must
• Strong publication record, including as a lead author or reviewer
• Extensive experience in computer vision, deep learning, and image processing
• Proven track record of leading research and development projects
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and architectures
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication abilities
