Job Description
OpenAI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate a scalable load balancer in their research inference stack. This role involves architectural design, traffic stickiness, robust debugging, and collaborative communication with researchers and ML engineers to optimize model performance. They are looking for someone with expertise in distributed systems and DevOps principles.
Requirements
- Deep experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, particularly load balancers.
- 5+ years of experience in algorithmic systems challenges
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Strong debugging mindset and experience with tracing, logging, and metrics.
- Comfortable writing production code in Rust or similar systems languages.
