General Accountant for a Book Publishing Company

The Accounting Manager is seeking a driven, tenacious, and collaborative early-career finance professional to support the Finance team. This role involves providing support across Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Financial Planning, maintaining team processes, supporting month-end closures, and contributing to financial model updates. The ideal candidate will be interested in the book business and have a strong analytical and problem-solving background.

Requirements

• Record journal entries and prepare account reconciliations for the monthly close
• Record monthly intercompany entries
• Assist with the weekly accounts payable process
• Support our annual audit preparation
• Work with our senior FP&A analyst to update the business’ financial model
• Create and edit spreadsheets in Excel and Google Sheets
• Execute other special finance projects as instructed
