The Senior Environment Artist is responsible for creating high-end 3D environments, mentoring team members, and setting standards for environment creation and layout workflows.
Requirements
- Expert in Maya, Houdini, Substance, Mari, and environment build tools
- Advanced knowledge of layout, modularity, and large-scale scene management
- Strong technical problem-solving and communication
- Excellent eye for composition, lighting, and form
- Experience of using on-set data such as photogrammetry and lidar
- USD layout integration or scene referencing experience
- Familiarity with SpeedTree, Gaea, or terrain workflows
- Python or tool feedback experience is a plus
- Understanding of camera projection, matte painting, and DMP workflows
- Ability to create and improve team tools or workflows
- Excellent communicator, sharing information clearly and actively listening
- Strong time management, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and escalate delays in a timely manner
- Adaptable to change with the ability to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude
