Senior Lab Manager

The Senior Lab Manager provides strong strategy, leadership and management direction for clinical operations of laboratory services at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). The position oversees the Core Lab, Special Immunology & Coagulation (SIC) Lab, Molecular Lab, Micro Lab, Community Hematology/Oncology (CHO) Labs and the Center for Health & Healing (CHH-2) Lab.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical Technology, chemical, physical, biological science, business management or related field.
• Four years hospital laboratory management experience
• Four years of work experience as MT/MLS/MLT or equivalent
• Comprehensive knowledge and ability to apply the principles and practices of business, financial, and human resources management.
• Strong customer service skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of laboratory compliance and regulatory issues, including billing and coding; and the ability to implement procedures and policies to ensure compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and OHSU OPEx system.
• Knowledge and/or experience with a Laboratory Information System
• MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), MLT(ASCP) or equivalent
