Senior Engineer, Energy Intelligence (Remote, US)

Renew Home is seeking a talented and self-driven Senior Software Engineer to join the growing Energy Intelligence team. The role involves developing and productionizing algorithms and models using machine learning and statistical techniques, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and designing and leading implementation of projects. The successful candidate will take significant ownership of end-to-end algorithm development and contribute directly to the value Renew Home provides the grid and to company performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science—or non-CS STEM degree
• 4-8+ years professional software development experience
• Significant experience developing and evaluating algorithms and models in production environments
• Proficiency in Python for algorithm-focused software development
• Strong SQL skills and experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or Redshift
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle
• Solid foundation in statistics, including inference, simulation, and optimization
• Hands-on experience developing machine learning or statistical models
