Job Description
Oddball is a fast-growing software company seeking a VP of Department of Defense (DoD) to lead their federal customer business development. This role combines hands-on leadership with executive client engagement, strategic teaming, and market shaping, aiming to improve the daily lives of millions by bringing quality software to the federal space. It’s a step above traditional business development focused on acquiring contracts and expanding accounts.
Requirements
- Deep familiarity with DoD missions
- 8+ years of directly related Capture and/or Business Development experience in federal contracting
- Successful track record of full lifecycle prime business development wins
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing stakeholder engagement
- Extensive proposal writing and management experience
- Strong presentation, writing, and communication skills
- Understanding of federal acquisition strategies, contract vehicles, and budgeting processes
