Job Description
The QC Tech - HACCP Coordinator is responsible for ensuring food safety and quality control monitoring programs are effectively implemented at Ocean Beauty Distribution's Salt Lake City, UT facility.
Requirements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in food safety
- Manage the Facility Quality & Food Safety Programs and HACCP plans
- Fill in as needed in other areas of the business at the Astoria facility
- Maintain current policies and programs in areas of Food Safety
- Maintain the facility Food Safety & Quality Manual
- Interact with Federal and State regulators and inspectors during onsite inspections
- Monitor product throughout storage and verify labels
- Ensure that HACCP monitoring equipment is maintained in proper working condition
- Verify that all finished products shipped meet customer specifications prior to shipment
- Provide basic training to employees in areas of Food Safety, HACCP, Sanitation Controls and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Monitor plant personnel to ensure compliance with applicable government laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards
- Follow all company policies and procedures
