The Operations Technical Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the technical and operational excellence of the venue. This position collaborates closely with production leadership to advance events, maintain critical technical systems, implement venue standards, and lead technical crews throughout all phases of production—from load-in through load-out.
Requirements
- Review and process technical advances, riders, and event documentation in coordination with the Operations Manager and relevant stakeholders
- Proactively identify technical requirements, potential conflicts, and resource needs prior to events
- Communicate technical expectations and venue capabilities clearly to visiting productions, clients, and internal departments
- Support the documentation, configuration, and testing of technical systems including audio, lighting, video, communications, and digital infrastructure
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including signal flow diagrams, equipment inventories, and operational standards
- Organize and direct technical crews during load-ins, rehearsals, performances, and load-outs
- Assist with planning and tracking routine and preventative maintenance for technical systems and infrastructure
- Complete comprehensive post-event reports detailing technical performance, staffing outcomes, and system issues
- Provide actionable recommendations for technical improvements, equipment upgrades, and operational adjustments
