Certified Building Official

The Certified Building Official position is responsible for meeting state and locally mandated building code compliance through field inspections and plan reviews, with a focus on residential and commercial construction. The role involves liaising with clients and the building department, and requires a strong knowledge of building codes and County ordinances.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of local building codes, County ordinances, current construction procedures and technology.
• Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions.
• Ability to compose reports indicating violations and/or deficiencies.
