The Architectural Designer is responsible for administering assigned phases of a project, utilizing knowledge of construction process, building materials, specifications and construction techniques. The person in this position is responsible for design, construction administration and contract administration of project requirements, client and consultant needs.
Requirements
- Actively pursuing professional licensure with the Board of Examiners for Architects and completion of the ARE in the State of NM
- Currently enrolled in a recognized Intern Development Program (IDP) or in procession of Accredited Degree in Architecture
- Knowledge of New Mexico building codes
- Proficient with MS Office software
- Proficient in Building Information Management (BIM) Revit software, and computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of peers, managers, consultants and clients
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, geometry and equations
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as structural analysis of building systems
