Health Information Management Specialist

The Health Information Management Specialist is responsible for the timely processing and completion of all hospital-based medical records, including document retrieval, scanning, indexing, and record completion.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience in Health Information Management or other health care setting
• Associate's degree in HIM or related field preferred
• Certification in Health Information Management (RHIA or RHIT) preferred
• Working knowledge of hospital EMR and HIM department systems and applications
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
